Safety Training Program / High-pressure Gas Training Program 2024
This lecture program is a part of legally binding safety training required by the “High Pressure Gas Safety Act.” Persons who handle cryogens in Hongo-area campus must take this lecture.

  • Online training program

    • Training Programs are given online.

    Please register through the Attendance Management System of the Environmental Science Center. You can access UTOL from the URL written in the autoreply e-mail.

    〇 Those who handle cryogens should take the "Safety Training Program(e-learning)".
    〇 Those who only handle high-pressure gases filled in gas cylinders should take the "High-pressure Gas Training Program(e-learning)".

    *It is not necessary to take both courses.

  • After the registration, you get the e-mail titled 「Notification of EHS lecture application 環境安全教育受講申込」. You can access UTOL from the URL written in the e-mail.

    • How to take courses on UTOL

    〇 In order to take the course, click the "Register a course" button on the upper right corner of the window.

    〇 Safety Training Program consists of three videos and corresponding tests.
    1. High Pressure Gas Safety Act and Rules at UTokyo
    2. Safe Handling of High-pressure gases
    3. Safe Handling of Cryogens
    ・Please watch all the movies and take the corresponding tests.
    ・Those who pass all three tests will receive a certificate to handle high-pressure gases and cryogens in the University of Tokyo.

    〇 To check your answer, click "Action" button on the right of Quizzes and select "Display result".


  • To avoid access concentration, the movies are distributed via GoogleDrive and YouTube.
    You need to sign in with your university account such as "xxxx@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp".

    You must be signed in with your ECCS cloud email (xxxx@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) account.

    〇When watching a video on YouTube

    You must be signed in with your ECCS cloud email (xxxx@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) account.

    If you get a "Private video" message, click "SIGN IN" and sign in with your ECCS cloud email address (xxxx@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp).

    If you get a "Video unavailable" message, you may have signed in to Google with a different account. (For example, the account you usually use.) Click on your icon in the upper right corner of the YouTube site, and select "Switch account". Then, sign in with your ECCS cloud email address (xxxx@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp).
