News
Usage charges of our equipment have been revised at the 16th Steering Committee meeting of CRC (applicable from June 1, 2024).
Due to the recent rise in electricity rates, we have revised usage charges (applicable from June 1, 2023).
Off-campus joint use is scheduled to start at the end of May 2022.
ABOUT About Millikelvin Quantum Platform
Millikelvin Quantum Platform is a joint use facility for anyone who needs a very low temperature environment down to 10 millikelvin to develop quantum technologies such as quantum computers and quantum sensors.
- Fully equipped with microwave electronics suitable for superconducting qubit research
- Can also be used for research on physical properties of new quantum materials
(3T superconducting magnet) - Available to corporate researchers as well as researchers of universities and public research institutes
- Support by staffs expert at millikelvin experiments
This is the ideal shared equipment for researchers who have ideas and materials that will lead to new quantum technologies and qubits, but do not have ready-to-use dilution refrigerators or microwave electronics. Companies who are interested in testing the performance of their products with superconducting qubits are also welcome.

RESEARCH &
DEVELOPMENT
Research and Development
Hardware development for quantum computers and quantum sensors covers a wide range of fields, including microfabrication, multiplexed signal processing, microwave cryoelectronics, and cryogenic technology. Operated by Cryogenics Research Center, an Interdisciplinary Research Institute at The University of Tokyo, this platform actively mediates interdisciplinary collaborations.
As an expert on cryogenic technology, we are also participating in such interdisciplinary collaborations and working on our own research and development of quantum technology.
